Sponsored by TWIST - Tablet Weavers International Studies & TechniquesHi! I'm stepping out of the shadows to introduce myself and reply to John's question about end clasps. I'm Mary, married, have 2 sons and a beautiful grand-daughter. I live in Nebraska, where I'm weaving yarn and supplies starved. I do lots of ordering over the internet. My other option is to drive 8 hrs round trip. waaa waaa! The internet is my source of everything fiber related.
I'm still new to tablet weaving, although I know the basics and jumped right into it by doing ram's horn. Life's short and I'm in a hurry to do as many fiber crafts as I can, so I usually jump from point A to about D at break-neck speed. GBG
I also do kumihimo braiding, so I was on the prowl for flat end clasps, too. The best flat end clasps I've found have teeth. They're at braidershand.com. No affiliation. They come in a variety of sizes and finishes. There probably are other vendors, but I couldn't find clasps with teeth anywhere else.
I'm so glad to have found this list, and am looking forward to learning and sharing as much as I can with you all. My tabletweaving interests were a result of wanting to have "period" clothes for ren faires and SCA events (not a member yet.) So, I'm planning on using my bands as trim and belts.
