I turn the cards two turns, place a dowel, turn back two turns, place another dowel. This works perfectly as a spreader. It helps to rubber band the ends together so they don't go sprong when you loosen the tension to advance the warp. ;-]

Sponsored by TWIST - Tablet Weavers International Studies & TechniquesI also had difficulty with turning my pack of cards until I got a warp spreader. Linda Hendrickson has a very reasonably priced one on her website and it made a huge difference for me.TheaSend private reply to Cynthia Konow-Brownell / Thea Northernridge <[EMAIL PROTECTED]>----------------------------------------------------------- To stop receiving tabletweaving (not tabletweaving-digest), send email to [EMAIL PROTECTED] with the message: unsubscribe tabletweaving. To stop receiving tabletweaving-digest, see the end of a digest.
