Sponsored by TWIST - Tablet Weavers International Studies & Techniques Eva,Thank you very much for the loom and the tip on warping. I'm not a woodworker, nor is anyone else I know, but the idea of using the bolts covered with PVC pipe is a good one--and we do own a drill. If I decide to try an inkle loom, I'm definitely going this cost-effective route first.

Yes.. I use a loom... I use a double sided "inkle" type loom. mine is in a "L" shape with the long end as the base. I use long 8 inch bolts and nuts and washer as the pegs and covered the threads of the bolts with PVC pipe. total cost of wood and loom was something under 25$.. most of that was the 12 or so 3/4" bolts at almost a dolar a peice.... but it has been worth it. I have found it not worth my while to warp cards on the loom.... I warp the cards, and then thread the weaving on the loom, then tie the ends of the warp in a circle. Eva
