I did this pattern once, I'm not weaving a lot these days, but I don't recall jhaving to reposition the tablets. It's actually a lovely rhythm once you get started weaving. One thing, a lot of twist builds up. If you reverse the turning sequence, that'll get rid of the twist, but it also gives a very different pattern. I was suprprised to find that reversing the turning actually DID give a coherent pattern, though not one that matches the Birka one.Ford
