Agreed, but still pretty large for an email attachment in the general 
run of things. The largest attachment I can find in my messagebase is 
6.7MB.

My mother-in-law's dialup service usually times out trying to download
an email much bigger than 2MB, although if she had a faster connection
she could receive 12MB attachments.

All well and good, since presumably they must be sending them to
correspondents who are expecting them and able to receive them. Else 
they would have to be split and re-combined. (-;
