[OT] The Bat! users' link exchange

I seem to remember a few years ago reading about a TB! users' link
exchange, and was just curious to know if it was still around. 

I had a poke around and found the links still posted in three places:-

I could not find the "exchanged" links on any of the other linked
sites, and two of the sites linked from there seem to be defunct.

Also, I can't remember what was the reason for displaying the links in 
a different order each time the page is loaded. Could anybody 
enlighten me?
