Hi Michael, I think the tilt_sql_code.txt file is the one I submitted waay back when...
I imported the file while shelled into the superuser account which automagically created the database and necessary tables. (you could also run this file from phpMyAdmin if that is installed and your [non-tilt] user account has permissions to create database or modify database if the database is already there). I also created a user (within my self-imposed naming conventions) with Select, Insert, Update, and Delete permissions on the TILT database and used that user information in the include file (\tilt\includes\db_info.html) -- do not use tiltuser/tiltuser as the user/pass combo, create your own and edit the db_info file. Hope this helps, -Aaron :-)' Meum cerebrum nocet -----Original Message----- From: [EMAIL PROTECTED] [EMAIL PROTECTED] On Behalf Of Michael Rose Sent: Wednesday, July 05, 2006 12:00 PM To: tilttalk@lists.cc.utexas.edu Subject: Creating/importing the tilt_sql_code.txt file Hi folks, We have MySQL already installed on the system (a Unix server). Our system admin. needs clarification on creating/importing the tilt_sql_code.txt file. In his words: 1. Do I need to create a database/user for the tilt_sql_code.txt file to reside in? 2. Are there other docs at the vendor site that give more detailed step-by-step installation instructions? I have already sent him the instruction lnks belwo from the MySQL support web page: Linux Installation Instructions: http://dev.mysql.com/doc/refman/5.0/en/linux-rpm.html Installing MySQL on Other Unix-Like Systems http://mysql.osuosl.org/doc/refman/5.0/en/installing-binary.html Any help would be appreciated.
