Yeah, it came out on 'Cube also...I got my copy in the afternoon....
Wow...So cool...I'll give more accurate description later...when I bring in instructions with me to point out some things...
My score so far is 9.95....
Did find one major flaw in the 2nd level of the junkyard {yes you have to take on the different forms of the nanobot} there were these things that pushed junk into molten metal to melt down the cars I guess...well I got pushed into it and my game was over {there is time to get out, if ya have energy} and when I continued, I was behind the thing pushing, and couldn't get out or see the turtle...
Yeah, when you turn the game on, ya get the theme from the new toon...there are even dojo stages where you perform a task to increase power...though the first one has the stage where ya get a jump kick...
For the Mikey fans out there...I think he's the best...the instruction book made him to be the fastest fighter...he's got the best jump attack where he twirls his chucks like rotors on a chopper and kicks his feet...saying "eat feet" the whole time.
Raph's jump attack is twin sai diving at the ground..Leo's is a split kick in air...and Don's...umm, can't remember..I've only played him once..I think he jumps and brings the bo straight down...
The game is cool...they even got the 5 elementals to fight...plus even the ninja tech warriors that turn invisible...though you usually see some sign, they are chameleon like, or may see a shadow on the ground...beat up on them and they lose the invisibility...
I just wonder how much of this might be foreshadowing of the toon though...'cause one fo the boss guys is a mecha turtle...much improved over the TMNT2:The arcade game version on NES. He runs right at ya, with saber-lit weapons that imitates the 4...taking turns that is...One of the levels is "Notes from Underground" where ya fight the monsters from the toon...ya even get to the lab in the city and see the files Don found on the toon and watch that again....and the end of the level has the part of the toon where the guys promise to find an answer and come back...
I was playing with a friend last night...and we got pretty far...back to Shredder's lab...and I got by myself to part where ya fight 2 giant mouser robots..{already fought one to save April in Stockman's lab}...I didn't have any continues, but when I went over to strike at one the other was shooting missles at me :(
So I don't know what other systems people got...but I got it on the Gamecube...and with a new low price of $100 and the game for $40, not a bad deal...of course there might be a couple extras to get like 1 controller for friend/spouse...it's the only way to access the VS mode...which you can chose to be against the computer....
Oh and it's not enough to just beat the game just as your favorite turtle...there is a challenge mode where you take on the stage bosses...but to access it you have to beat the game with all four guys....Not to mention unlocking art and stuff by playing through...
Do I recommend the game...Hell Yes....

Hey y'all:
What has it been, about eight or ten years the last TMNT video game? Well,
the wait is over-- the game came out today for PS2 and XBox at least, and I
think Gamecube and PC also. I only got to play it for a few minutes-- I
have to sleep now so I can get up in 5 hours-- but the graphics are
*amazing*, the cut scenes are straight from the 'toon, and it already seems
like an awesome amount of fun. Also, Gamenow magazine has TMNT on the
front and back covers, as well as about 12 pages in the middle of the
magazine devoted not only to this game but past TMNT games, movies, comics,
and more. The front is actually one of four collector covers... Donatello
came home from Waldenbooks with me. ;)
Expect a playthrough/FAQ in a couple weeks!
Probably too psyched to sleep now,
-Mikey
