I was wondering if the 1st person/3rd person split made a difference-- I plugged in a third-person chapter from Roulette and it came up heavily male-- more male than my 'female' fics were female, if that makes any sense. But then one of Elias' chapters from Roulette came up male, too, so who knows. It's just math, after all, it's not supposed to make sense...

--Phish* (however, I *would* be worried about that Raph-taking-over-you thing...<G>)

I put in bits from 2 fanfics, 2 songfics and a fic written in the style of a journal. The fan & song fics are all written in the 3rd person, while the journal is first person.

The 4 fics all came up as significantly MALE! The journal, which was written from the perspective of my character Emerald Isle, came up as female. I'm comforted by the fact that the journal which was written by a female character was deemed written by a female...but I'm not sure how I feel about the other 4 stories. I think Raph is slowly taking over my personality.... <G>

Raph "> ("I was expecting you to be more like Emer, but you're all Raph!" - Chris "Savanti", upon meeting me in person...)

Does anyone know which gender is SUPPOSED to be a better writer?

I would hope neither gender. I tend to think its fascinating to see how well you can write for the opposite sex. Which is why I was thrilled that it churned out my chapters narrated by turtes as male.
