[Tonto] Download to remote fails

Hi,
I guess tonto is no more maintained but I'm curious if you have idea 
what is the problem. Tonto 1.44 seems to work OK for editing and 
uploading from remote (an European RU940). Downloading to remote fails. 
Here is a log file extract which I believe shows communication problems

I don't have a windows PC so it would be very nice to get this working 
on Linux (Debian Sarge, Sun j2sdk1.4.2).
