Dear
Task Force Friends:
First,
happy Valentine's Day. Folks who may be interested in
participating
in
The World Says No to War protests are encouraged
to obtain flyers
The
United for Peace New York rally will begin around 11 a.m. at
49th Street
and
1st Avenue. The planned march to the United Nations has
been
thwarted
by NY police who have refused a permit to march - anywhere in
NY
that day.
In Philadelphia, PA, PRAWN has organized a rally and march
(each with permits)
beginning at Broad and Spring Garden Streets at 12 noon and marching to
City
Hall and then to the Liberty Bell.
Events are being organized in cities and counties across the state
(e.g. Harrisburg,
Erie, Pittsburgh,Wilkes
Barre, Williamsport, York).
Given
timeliness, the UFP website is your best source of information. For
future
reference, United for Peace can be reached at 646-473-8935
and PRAWN at
215-701-7341.
If you are interested in participating in this growing movement
for peace and justice, please
call.
Happy Valentine's Day.
