The Calvary Center for Culture and Community, in partnership with the
Renaissance Arts Network and The Cherry Tree Music Co-op, is pleased to announce
the next monthly world music concert series. On third Saturdays, at 7:30 pm in
the Calvary Center building located at 48th Street and Baltimore Avenue, the
world music concerts will feature accomplished, unique Philadelphia artists
juxtaposing different musical styles. Come join us for an exciting evening of
World Music with two performance artists, Kevin So and Joseph Becton:

Saturday, April 20th, 7:30 pm, Calvary Center (48th and Baltimore):
Kevin So and Joseph Becton:  An Evening Performance of Cross-Cultural Folk and
Blues

Chinese-American folk-rock performer Kevin So will join local African-American
blues artist Joseph Becton for a night of American roots music, from delta blues
to urban pop and back again. They will be accompanied by special guests Tony
Anderson, Britta Wolfsohn, and Gregg Scott.

Admission: $10 (Students and Seniors $5)

The Calvary Center for Culture and Community was formed by Calvary United
Methodist Church, working in partnership with the University City Historical
Society, to revitalize and restore the historic Calvary Church building.  Please
join us for a wonderful evening of world music on third Saturdays and don't miss
our superb jazz series on second Fridays of the month starting again next Fall.
The Calvary Cafe will also be open providing satisfying sustenance and
refreshments.
