Just a quick note to thank the recyclers who managed to find their way around the blocked-off streets (due to the street fair organized by State Sen. Hardy's office). Special thanks go to Linford Martin of the Firehouse for his efforts on behalf of recycling and his work in helping to make today's situation easier than it's been in past years. Many thanks, also, to Karen Wisnie and Lisa Johanningsmeier for standing at the police barricades and helping direct people to 50th Street (the only approach to the recycling area).
