Hello Everyone- Forgive me if you get this twice but in the interest of the widest dissemination I send to both lists. Next Saturday October 19th from 9-3 the city will accept hazardous waste at 3033 South 63rd Street which is NW of Passyunk Avenue. This is an opportunity to dispose of stuff we shouldn't be throwing out in the regular trash pickups. By stuff I mean batteries, oil based paint, solvents, herbicides, pesticides, turpentine, furniture stripper--you get the picture. In case you can't make this one the next one in the city (and also the last one for this year) will be Nov. 2 at the Streets Department facility at Delaware Ave. and Wheatsheaf Lane. Take advantage of this opportunity to protect our landfills and water supply be getting rid of noxious household products in a responsible way.
