Hello All,

Yes it's time to get down and dirty and collect those abandoned tires sitting
around the neighborhood. This year we'll be out with 3 trucks (we hope) on
Saturday, August 9th. We will scout the neighborhood and pick up what we find
but could do alot more if folks like yourselves would simply organize your
blocks and get the tires in one place so that they can be efficiently picked up
and brought to the city's designated drop off point at 25th and Washington. If
you have tires for us to pick up please email me back and let me know where
we should come. The tires must be out by 9am; we have a determined crew but we
also want to be able to do something else on Saturday and the cleanup is
really daunting! Of course any individual is welcome to bring their own tires to
25th and Washington. If you would tell the collectors you are bringing them
for Cedar Park Neighbors, group #0003, CPN would get credit and .50/tire.
Individuals cannot be paid.

We will be restricting our sweep to Cedar Park's boundaries: 46th to 52nd,
Larchwood to Kingsessing. If you are outside these boundaries you can bring
your tires in as described above. The dropoff point will be in operation from
9am-3pm.

If you would like to join our merry crew or if you have a truck you can
donate to the effort, meet at Lisa Johanningsmeier's house, 816 So. St. Bernard
Street (between 49th and 50th, Warrington and Florence) at 8:45am. Please feel
free to call or email with questions. I can be reached at 729-6273.

Happy hunting!
