KIGALI, Aug. 11 (Xinhuanet) -- Rwanda did not have any role in therecent fighting that broke out in the eastern part of the Democratic Republic of the Congo (DRC), said DRC Second Vice President Azarias Ruberwa here Wednesday after meeting with Rwandan President Paul Kagame. Ruberwa, who is on a two-day visit to Rwanda, said Rwanda like any other neighboring country must not be blamed for any conflictsthat arise in the DRC. "The recent fightings are of Congolese nationals and they oughtto come together and look for the solution," Ruberwa said. On the Congolese refugees who sought refugee in Rwanda, he saidRwanda agreed to encourage the Congolese to return home. He, however, noted that the task remains to his government to ensure security in the eastern part of the DRC. Enditem |
