In the warm weather they are most easily found by using one's ears.
Especially in the morning or when a car's headlights pass over the coop.
One happens to be a block from me. There was a second one in the
summer, but that property is now vaccant. Yes, there has been the
occasional "free-range" chicken seen wandering around the Tot lot...
but they don't seem to last as long as the local possum. (Yeah, West
Phila's got possum's also!)
