That's ENOMEM. Have you changed CONFIG_VMSPLIT_*? If that laptop has 1G of 
RAM, changing that option is a good idea, however UML is not that happy.

For UML you should enable CONFIG_HOST_2G_2G, if UML is recent enough that it 
is used by SKAS0. With -bb1 you have more detailed settings 
(CONFIG_HOST_VMSPLIT_*).
