FWIW: I use an information processor called Zoot. (www.zootsoftware.com) When I clip from a web page viewed in Beonex to Zoot, instead of the entire URL being captured (as it is with MSIE), only the domain name comes across. For example, if I'm looking at http://support.microsoft.com/blah-blah-blah-going-on-for-many-characters, what Zoot picks up from Beonex is www.microsoft.com, instead of the full URL, which MSIE would pick up. The developer of Zoot says this about that: > Zoot isn't tied to the Microsoft browser, but it does require a standard > Windows URL edit box. Zoot works with Opera or any other browser that has a > standard URL edit box. > > The new version of Netscape, I'm guessing, is written in Java or some other > portable programming language. Whatever the case, Zoot can't read the > contents of its URL edit box because the box doesn't have a window handle > and cannot respond to standard Windows messages. > > Tom Davis > Zoot Software
