I am new to Beonex after extensive Outlook Express use and have the following comments on v 0.8.1 (website says to report them here): Mail: Problem - Spellchecker occasionally crashes (particularly after composing a long e-mail) when "Close" is hit with error detail of: "Beonex-comm caused an invalid page fault in module XPCOM.DLL at 0167:603143e0". Of course, crashing at that point loses the message that has been composed. Problem - When I start MailNews, I would like it to open at the "Inbox". I have tried many entries at the "Mail Start Page" option from the simple "Inbox" to the entire actual file location on the hard drive. Nothing works - it still opens at the top folder for Inbox and not Inbox itself. News: Carryovers from the Outlook Express experience: Suggestion - Include an preference to open a newsgroup with "all threads collapsed". I know the "/" will do it, but since I always start reading my newsgroup titles with threads collapsed (easier to go through the list), it would be convenient to have it already done on opening. Suggestion - Include a preference to "mark all as read" when a newsgroup is exited. I know the <shift><ctrl>-C will do it, but (as above) I always mark them as read at the end, it would be convenient to have it done automatically. I am exceedingly pleased with the operation and the general stability of Beonex. In fact, I have already "surgically" removed Internet Explorer & Outlook Express and gone totally to Beonex. Thanks for all the fine development work on this program. Regards, Jim
