I've run both Mozilla (1.0 nightlies, 1.0 final, 1.1 final) & Beonex (0.8 stable) under Win98SE. I like both. But, in both cases, I've had instances where my mail/news prefs went south on me, sometimes beyond repair. So, I have a few questions before I try with Beonex 0.8.1 stable. Right now, of three mail accounts in Moz, I can receive on one, but can't send on any. And all three news servers I have set work fine for both send & receive. 1) When I tried Beonex, I still had Mozilla installed. Are there any files that Beonex &/or Mozilla places in any of the Windows system directories that might "confuse" the other & possibly cause my prefs hassle? I know that it's recommended to uninstall previous Mozilla builds before installing a newer version. Is the same true for uninstalling Mozilla if you're installing Beonex? 2) I have three mail accounts, of which two are on the same server. And usually four news servers I access. Is there a limit either in number of total accounts or number of accounts on one server that might cause my prefs to go haywire? I like the way the Moz/Beonex mail & news client is set up. But I don't dare make it my default till I can be sure I have it running stable. Bill Kraski
