Answer for Windows: The best way to handle this is from within Beonex/Mozilla: Edit -> PREFERENCES -> (Category) Advanced -> System. On the System-Preferences page, under "Windows should use Beonex to handle these PROTOCOLS", you should check -http: -https: and -chrome: I would also recommend checking the other protocols (-ftp: and -gopher) Also i recommend that under "Windows should use Beonex to open these FILE TYPES", you should check -HTML, -XML, -XHTML and -XUL (but probably not the other file types if you want another viewer for images). Futhermore, put a check for "Alert me if other programs change these settings". When I'm in Eudora and click on a link, I get a window that asks for the program that "is needed for opening files of type 'URL HyperText Transfer Protocol' ". I try going to the path for Beonex but I don't know the program name, and it doesn't allow me to select it. But when I click on "Cancel", Beonex starts anyway. Except when I clicked on a "Download ...", it did nothing. I've tried Preferences in Beonex, but it doesn't provide for making Beonex the default browser. Any suggestions? thanks, Jim Berk
