You're lucky; even the ukcrypto list (which deals with the legal aspects 
of cryptography in the UK) receives spam.  The truth is that is 
endemic.

You can filter out repetitive spam by the use of SpamSlayer with Beonex.  
It can be found at http://spamslayer.mozdev.org, but I'll leave Ben to 
answer your general point.
