however, this makes beonex different from mozilla.
beonex is beonex and NOT mozilla for end users!

It is. Mozilla is no product on its own, it is a source code pool.

Beonex is as much Mozilla as Debian is GNU/Linux. All Linux distributors make changes to the applications, some more some less. The changes to the kernel are usually extensive.

you may claim that beonex is better than mozilla for the end user
(because it is simpler or whatever) but you can not claim that
an enduser who wants to use mozilla should use beonex.

In fact, that's what the mozilla.org website says.
"If you are looking for a ‘polished’ end-user product, you should make use of one of the distributions listed at the bottom of the page
[...]
Beonex is an open-source distribution of Mozilla for Windows or Linux targetted at end-users - both individuals and companies."

beonex is NOT the right answer for the enduser problem
that you describe. the right answer would be to get mozilla
theough your distributor such as debian, redhat or whatever.

All of these makes about as much changes to Mozilla as Beonex does. The only difference (from the POV of your argumentation):

* We change the name, to draw end users from the mozilla.org
resources like the newsgroups.
* We are available for Windows (and hopefully Mac). Apart from
Netscape, no other Mozilla for end users is.
