Beware of the selfrighteous.

That would be you, dude.

FYI, it is doubtful to many that GW was "democratically" elected. Second, the bad Talebans were getting US money till this Summer  (how Bin Laden being trained by the MI5 in the '80s?). As for Saddam, he was getting US money in the war against Iran... Yours posting indicates you do not know very well what the context for the horror that happened is. I am not with "them", but I am certainly not with you and your puppet president either. Bombing Afghanistan and creating a humanitarian emergency, supporting the Northern Alliance that has a terrible human rights record, and destabilizing the whole region (Pakistan has the bomb too, you know?) for internal political reasons is catastrophic in the long run, and maybe even in the short. I am not complaining about what the US did before, they are making a mess of things right now in front of outr eyes.

The killing of innoce[Secchi, Silvia]    people is wrong.  It's wrong if it's the IRA or Al Qaida.  What I would hope
comes out the this is to stop all terrorism.

12. It is appalling to me the ammount of people in world history that have
been killed in the name of God.  The statements by a couple of our religious
leaders in the USA after September 11th were outrageous.  These supposedly
righteous people proved themselves to be begots and selfserving demigogs.

13. I hope somehow the world is able to return to sanity, but I fear that it
will be a long time before we get there.  I don't know where this will end.
I hope it doesn't end with the West being so obsessed with safety that it
turns the world over to religeous lunatics.  I fear Pat Robertson, Jerry
Falwell and there followers as much as I fear Bin Laden.

Beware of the selfrighteous.
