Here’s the boring stuff about parking/access etc to Haigh Hall as
reported in tonights Wigan Evening Post:

§ The main Haigh Hall carpark will be closed on the day of the gig
although people can gain access to the plantations.
§ The practice course where the concert arena is situated will be
closed at least a week before and a week after the concert.
§ ROAD CLOSURES:- The Haigh estate roads - School Lane; Copperas Lane
and Higher Lane will be closed to all traffic from 12 noon on Sunday
May 24 until after the event.
§ Leyland Mill Lane; Wingates Road; Pendlebury Lane and Sennicar Lane
will also be closed.
§ WAITING RESTRICTIONS:- Extensive No Waiting restrictions will apply
as follows:
§ From the Plantation Gates on Wigan Lane to Wigan Town Centre.
§ The B5239 from Red Rock Lane; Meadow Pit Lane; Riley Lane and Haigh
road through Aspull to theFingerpost junction.
§ The B5238 from the Fingerpost down Wigan Road to the New Springs
Canal Bridge.
§ All affected roads will be coned off.
§ PARKING:- Secure and well lit parking for up to 8,000 vehicles will
be provided at Patchcroft Farm off Meadow Pit Lane, Haigh.
§ The cost will be £4!!!!!!! Per vehicle.
§ The site will be stewarded by a specialist firm
§ The route to the car park will be signposted from the M6 and M61 by
AA signs.
§ The main Haigh Hall carpark will be used for coach parking only and
will be closed to the general public.
§ Car Parks in Wigan Town Centre (except The Galleries) will be open
on the day until 1am for £1
§ THE ROUTE FROM THE TOWN CENTRE TO HAIGH HALL IS: RIVERWAY; CENTRAL
PARK WAY (NEAR THE RUGBY GROUND); WIGAN LANE AND THROUGH THE
PLANTATION GATES.
§ People Parking at Patchcroft farm the route is: VIA MEADOW PIT LANE
AND SCHOOL LANE.------------VERY HAUNTED!!!!!!!!!!!!
§ THE EVENT:- Gates open at 4pm entrance through the main gate at
School Lane at the end of the gig the estate roads HAUNTED will be lit
and the drive from the hall to the plantation gates.
§ The no waiting cones on Haigh road will be moved at the end of the
event.
