  I've had the problem too. In fact, you *want* to use the Composite2 input.
If it doesn't appear, add a fourth input in
/usr/src/linux/drivers/char/bttv.c for your video card (struct tvcard
tvcards[] = ) , recompile the module and run xawtv.
