Greetings fellow punteadophiliacs:
Nothing to tickle your scholarly mental muscles, but I'm a bit excited so thought I'd share. After years of inaudible unplayability, my quirky speculative vihuela has returned to me, artfully brought to functionality by Ohio luthier and Dartmouth list lurker Mr. Chadwick Neal. Nothing is left of the original but the maple of the shell and ebony of the fingerboard. The new soundboard is a North American hybrid, Lutz spruce, and I am really quite pleased with the sound and look. Chad has a bit of a write up here: [1]http://www.neallutes.com/ I'm happy to receive commentary: good, bad, and indifferent. Cheers, Eugene -- References 1. http://www.neallutes.com/ To get on or off this list see list information at http://www.cs.dartmouth.edu/~wbc/lute-admin/index.html
