I accidently fixed it.  I seen that the next beta was out, and did the install work on 
it, all seems to work good again.  Although, the Hostname in Server.config match with 
httpd.conf should probably find it's way into the INSTALL file, and I will try to grab 
it automatically for the install script, by regex-ing the httpd.conf file.  It is my 
hope to completely automate the setup, configure, and install.  Should I succeed, I 
will(as I have mentioned before) furnish the completed script.

Hi Mike,

Please make sure that the entries for Hostname in Server.config
exactly match the ServerName directive in httpd.conf.

You can also try (assuming your domain is my.domain.com and your
suffix dc=my,dc=domain,dc=com):

ldapsearch -b dc=my,dc=domain,dc=com -D cn=manager,dc=my,dc=domain,dc=com -W 
'objectclass=*'

enter the manager password, and see if you get any output.

I think I need to put in some extra Debug statements in VK which can
be enabled/disabled by setting a parameter in Server.config.  One more
for the TODO...
