Installation Seems fine, LDAP trouble

Software:

Stock VA Linux 6.2.4 (RedHat 6.2 with VAL Enhancements)
VK 2.0b5

Problem:

After installation, I am able to access the mail login page at
http://server/menu/managerIndex.cgi

I receive the following error message whenever a username is specified:

Unable to establish connection to any of
No such file or directory
*****

A trace through the script using 'perl -d managerIndex.cgi login=asdf' leads
to:

main::(managerIndex.cgi:70):      $ldap = VK::LDAP -> new ( Login => $login

<H1>Software error:</H1>

How should I interpret this error message?
