[Vo]:"Disappearing rocks" on Mars?

From the Sol 42 Images:

Beginning about 15 rows down, there are many photos that show 3 rocks  
in the soil in the background:

while some, taken only minutes earlier or later, show no large rocks,  
e.g.:

The azimuth (299 vs 305) and direction (-31.5 vs -30) numbers are not  
significantly different.
