Howdy Jones, Interesting thought. Question? How do you reconcile the heat 
trapped in the parabolic collector with the thin film materials mechanical 
properties that portend fast degradation due to heat?
Do you suppose the thin film could have both adsorbing as well as reflecting 
properties. The mathematics of a parabolic collector describes   the 
reflected sun ray must eventually collect at the base of the parabola.. 
provided.. it reflects.
