Many people prefer to avoid the phase change. There has been considerable contention here about this issue. The devices have also been tested with liquid phase, and Rossi told me that his one megawatt device is intended to heat water only, not to produce steam.

Defkalion runs all of their reactors in liquid phase only, albeit not usually water.


Never change a working experiment!

That is a good rule of thumb. However, as I said these devices have been tested with liquid phase only. Rossi prefers steam because it is easier, more convenient, and he is sure that the result is accurate. since other people do have some doubts about this I think it would be diplomatic to use liquid phase calorimetry.

As you said, there is something to be said for using both methods.


So far I have read, scientists where invited for late october. Are their any news about this?

Rossi told me he would announce the detailed schedule at the end of September.
