The persistent -net-rules apply now, and it worked previous a reboot. The machine does not boot through anymore, however. The boot procedure hangs at a line 'idmapd' Both NICs of the machine are pingable, though, so the hardware, driver and /etc/network/interfaces should be valid.
SSH and local login aren't possible, though. When I unplug eth1's cable and make a hardware reset, I can boot and login remotely and locally and all works.
All a bit strange... Rüdiger Am 09.02.2012 20:22, schrieb Nathan Hulse:
Given that network problems are the issue, it might be easier to just download udev from http://packages.debian.org/squeeze/udev and then install it from a usb stick manually using 'dpkg -i /path/to/package/udev_164-3_arch.deb'2012/2/9 Kevin Wang <k...@rightsock.com <mailto:k...@rightsock.com>> It is not having a problem installing.
