That's the plan, and I'm aiming for two weeks or so after the "base" Strawberry Perl goes to release, so probably late October.
I just moved, (finally got a job) as I mentioned to Gabor privately, so I've got to do some writing (on Saturdays, along with all the other stuff that I'll need to do) on some of the "graphical helpers" I want to have in Beta 1, otherwise, the late October version will be "Alpha 3" instead. --Curtis On Wed, 15 Sep 2010 08:43 -0400, "David Golden" <xda...@gmail.com> wrote: > On Wed, Sep 15, 2010 at 7:28 AM, Gabor Szabo <szab...@gmail.com> wrote: > > hi, > > > > looking at http://strawberryperl.com/beta/ I wonder is > > "Strawberry Perl Professional (5.10.1.3) Alpha 2" > > the latest available version of the professional? > > > > When is the next release planned? > > Is that going to be called Beta or will that be a release already? > > Curtis posts pretty regular updates here: > > http://csjewell.dreamwidth.org/ > > I believe the plan is for Strawberry Professional to have a beta > release before a full one. > > -- David > -- Curtis Jewell csjew...@cpan.org http://csjewell.dreamwidth.org/ p...@csjewell.fastmail.us http://csjewell.comyr.org/perl/ "Your random numbers are not that random" -- perl-5.10.1.tar.gz/util.c Strawberry Perl for Windows betas: http://strawberryperl.com/beta/
