A happy yew year to all the sexxxy players out there, First of all, a great big thanks to all of you who made it to Copa Tanga 2021! It was a huge challenge for us. Not only did we have to move the tournament date three times, but even then it very nearly didn't happen. Just the day before the tournament started, the local council considered cancelling because they were worried we might break Covid rules. We had to vow we'd stick to rules like no parties or selling alcohol on the beach. As you can imagine, that was as tough for us as it was for you - and thanks again for being considerate and playing along with the regulations laid upon us. But it wasn't only the parties or the bar that were missing. Providing players with decent food out of an AirBNB kitchen proved quite challenging - and even the caterer we brought in on the last day wasn't quite up to our standards. Still, given the circumstances, we were really happy to even be in Castelldefels, on the beach, playing a great tournament with such high-quality games. It ended up being heaps of fun - and for us it was one of the highlights of the year which still brings smiles to our faces. We want to again thank everyone who came and helped make it such a memorable event!
So what's going to happen in 2022? As things stand, it's simply impossible to plan a tournament around the usual time in April or May. There are too many unknowns. Therefore, to give us - and you - a little more certainty and be able to host a tournament that meets our expectations, we decided to move Copa Tanga to October again. Please save the date for Copa Tanga 2022 => 8.-10. October 2022 We are still hopeful that by the end of next summer we will be able to run a tournament with actual parties, more or less like in previous years. It is of course entirely possible that we may face restrictions. In this case, we will adjust the program - and player fees - to the kind of tournament we will be able to deliver. In any case, we will open registration early in 2022, so stay tuned and stay sexxxy!
