RE Festival the help in xastir 1.9.5 actually states.
"
The normal command for this is
"festival_server &". If you use the "festival --server" option instead
(old method), you may run into problems with connections getting
rejected by the server."

Although my version
"festival: Festival Speech Synthesis System: 1.96:beta July 2004"
gives
[EMAIL PROTECTED]:~$ festival_server &
[1] 13527
[EMAIL PROTECTED]:~$ bash: festival_server: command not found
And speech fails

So it is worth noting the "festival --server &" method in the HowTo as
my version is the Ubuntu installed one.

I just have the work out how to make it use my other sound card or fit a
second set of speakers. Which I could do as I now use the SignaLink USB
so don't need the second PCI sound card for fldigi.
