I had started to write something here, but have withdrawn it for further thought. One other possibility is that he first call on the address book has rw access, others (while the first call is active) only have read access. In my case, I'm the only actual user on this box, but have multiple accounts for (legitimate!) multiple personalities, e.g. aliasing work address, personal address, etc etc. (all set up at the time of xcmail v1.2). So just to link to a common (or common set) of addressbooks is very useful. Just a shame I cannot go over physical drives with hard links. Regards, David Pilgram.
