I had thought about emailing a common addressbook as well; I had not suggested it as I thought it would require the user to remember to do so; but perhaps for multiple sites, it could be automatic on each new entry. A little heavy on email traffic for dial-up modems, but probably nothing too extravigant. However, a "private" addressbook, or, in the context of being at work, the Work addressbook, one that remains just with with that user, no need to be moved about *as well as* a common one would be a help. XCmail already has two, it's just a case of redefining precisely what one of them is - or adding a third. I would like to share my "common" addressbook with another machine, as well as multiple users on this box (or rather, I can see the use of it). But multiple users on one box better have the "first user has rw permissions; second user (while first has access) only as r access"; or somesuch. My linked version lost one address because of the order that two copies of XCmail were opened and closed. On the other hand, I'm probably using this linux box in an unusual manner.
