Hmm,

You shouldn't need ot give the nolinear option, that is the problem.
This is likely caused by your bios setting the mtrr registers up wrong,
or doing something else wrong with your memory map.
Have you tried:
-compiling a kernel with mtrr support?
-updating your new mb to the latest bios?
