Hi -- Right now the primary/official maintainer of xmame, Hans, is downtrodden with RSI, Repetitive Stress Injury, which is like Carpal Tunnel, and really nasty stuff. So, until then, those that work on aspects the codebase and other capable porters are doing him an awesome favor and giving him much needed relief by helping out. Occasionally Hans jumps in with an E-mail or two (we love you man!), but we're trying to actually let him recover. >From what I gather, the unofficial releases are excellent, they're just, well, unofficial.. that's all. If I were able to compile, I'd check em out. Unfortunately, I messed with glibc, so I'm pretty much screwed =] Which reminds me.... neo:~$ gcc -o hi hello.c /usr/i386-slackware-linux/bin/ld: cannot open -lc: No such file or directory collect2: ld returned 1 exit status I have an x86 Slackware Linux machine. Any ballsy people want to take a stab at what the hell I did? Yes, I have all my development tools installed, and libc.so is there =] Personal emails graciously accepted if anyone has any lead on what I did, because I'm really not interested in completely restoring my install of Linux on this box.
