question about hiscores in xmame.

Hello. I have a question about the instalation of the hiscores in xmame.

I have installed in rpm the following file:
xmame-0.36.1-1.rpm
In order to use the hiscores, I got the 5.0 version of the hiscores file
(Hsdat5.zip)
and I have copied the file  hiscore.dat into the directory
/usr/lib/games/xmame and in the directory $HOME/.xmame
but when I run xmame, the previous hiscore didn't save.
Somebody knows what I do bad?
