[Xmame] Japanese games

Hi.
I have found some Japanese games for MAME, but they usually have only
one file. Next to them, it is possible to find European, American, or 
"World" versions,
which have more files...
How could I load in MAME Japanese versions? With one game I tried to 
download
World version and add the Japanese version's file and change filename to the 
Japanese's
version, bu it doesn't work... Anyone knows how to do so?
