Hello. Can I use OxFFFF to safely backup my rootfs (I assume that means my entire root filesystem) to another machine?
My n800 recently got the whitescreen of death (endless reboot cycle. went into R&D mode and disabled lifeguard and boot would only show a white screen) so I had to re-flash it. It took at least 5 hours to reinstall all my applications and reconfigure my settings for those applications. I'd really like to use 0xFFFF as a system backup so if I get the whitescreen again I can reflash with production firmware, then reflash my rootfs from a known good copy and not lose all my work (just what I have done since the last rootfs backup). Is this possible on an n800 and safe to do?
