<<I didn't even know you could put 256 meg of ram in a 6100.

How is that? Is that a pizzabox 6100?>>

Actually the total RAM including the 8 MB on the motherboard comes to 264 MB.

I have been using two 6100's for a couple of years running OS 8.6 and
Newertech 300MHz G3 upgrades. The 128 MB sticks came from:

Coast to Coast

<http://www.18004memory.com>

Item No: SNED32U/128/G5V60
Description: 128MB 72p SIMMx32EDO NB (4x16) 5v, 60ns

$26.00 + $17 inflated (?) ground shipping from NJ to CT.

I also bought a third pair of 128 MB SIMMs from Craig which I haven't had
time to install in yet another 6100. . . can't beat Craig's free shipping.

Yes Glen is the GURU of RAM for the 6100, just could not find mt receipt and was behind on my e-mail. These are the same height as the stock ram. I had 264 in for at least a year and the 6100 just keeps going and going and going. No heat problems and it's pretty snappy. Hard to believe the machine is getting close to 10 year old
