Hi Geoff,

LOL, Thanks for the compliment but really I'm no GURU of anything. Sometimes
I get lucky, most of the time I get sucked into any number of black holes
where "no man has ever gone before" :-). Good to hear from you again.

and [EMAIL PROTECTED] writes.

<<According to the mfg, that 128 MB RAM is for the 6100 only, and is so
marked. >>

With respects, where did you find this info? I wish I knew this two years ago
when I was sweating bullets after paying $70+ for this 6100 RAM experiment.
At that time I thought maybe I had a 50/50 chance of it working :-).

And to give credit where credit is due. One of many GURU's on this list, is
Peter -- you are "da man". I have learned so much from you on various mail
lists I subscribe to.

--So here is my new challenge regarding 6100 memory.

I have found 256 MB SIMMs that may work in a 6100. They are $60 each. I will
have to sell my 4 of my 6 - 128's to cover the cost of the new SIMMs to pay
for this experiment.

The spec's are:

72 pin, 256 MB
Chip config: 16x32, 8 chips
EDO, 60ns
Non Parity
4k Refresh rate

The spec's look similar to the 128's I'm using. If they work, that gives the
old 6100 520MB RAM!!

Should I go for it (rhetorical question)?

Best to all --glen
