The FlashPath floppy adapter works fine, although it transfers photos much
slower than a USB card reader of course. Also, the floppy adapter has a
couple of flat round batteries in it that eventually run down and need
replacement, especially if you leave the adapter sitting in the floppy
drive (I went through a couple of sets of batteries before I realized I
should get that adapter out of the drive right after use, and not let it
sit in there). When the batteries (available from Radio Shack) run down,
the photos won't transfer and you start getting error messages on the
screen. Not "low batteries," as you would expect, just "error." So you have
to realize why it's doing that, and keep a set of spare batteries on hand
when it does. They'll last a long time, though, if you don't forget and
leave the adapter sitting in a drive.
