After successfully installing a Newer G3 accelerator and 256 Megs of RAM in
my 6116CD I thought I was set. Then the machine started crashing on startup
-- as the MAXPower extension for the accelerator loaded. Several attempts to
resolve that failed, so I pulled the card and all was well but slower. Now
the screen glows green on startup. I replaced the PRAM battery but never
reset a CUDA switch (if there even is one on this model) so I wonder if
weakening battery contributes to off-color appearance or whether the
original monitor is showing its age. Any clues before I try to run down
another monitor to try?
