Hi there, This is OT, because it concerns a 68k question but I hope to score on this list, anyway ...
For scanning I'm still using my old Q840av. Since I bought a Scanmaker III I'm having a bit of annoyance with the drivers of that thing: After every scan using the ScanWizard Photoshop Plug-Ins (I tried the 68k-versions 3.0.7, 3.1.2 and 3.24) the scan module quits and starts again. I'm selecting the ScanWizard driver in the File-menu under Import and the option Retain scan module is on. When I'm using the TWAIN driver which uses the ScanWizard Plug-In the option Retain scan module is greyed-out and again I have to restart Scan Wizard after every scan. My old Umax worked much better with Photoshop but gave the ghost after more than ten useful years ... What gives? This is annoying as the ScanWizard needs time to load. The Q840av has 128 meg RAM, sys. 7.6.1, a SuperMac Thunder IIGX 1668 with Photoshop DSP-accelleration. Photoshop has 40 meg RAM to work with and a RAM-disk of 20 meg to scratch on ...
