Let me be a little more speciffic, first I am using comcast cable
internet. Second I need to forward one WAN port address to several LAN

this with any box routers I have seen. That the biggest thing I need it
to do. The other thing is reliabillity, I think OS 9 on this machine is
pretty slow, so I'll probably go with OS 7.6.1 or something lighter
weight like that, however, I will run whatever os I need to to get it to
run the router software you guys suggest I use.

I don't think you can forward one WAN port to two servers. If a machine accesses that port, which machine is it supposed to go to? You can make WAN ports 80 and 1080 (for example) go to two different LAN machines, both on port 80. If you are trying to spread the load around that's not really a problem with cable uplink, AFAIK.

Better to use OS 9. The TCP in it is much better than 7.6.1. And while the UI may be sluggish, something like IPNetRouter will run quite fast.

Unless you want to dive into Unix your best bet is IPNetRouter (www.sustworks.com).
